If you encounter the following error message when running RecurDyn, it may appear for two possible reasons:
- FlexNet Licensing error:-88,309
System clock has been set back.
- The system (computer) clock is set to a future or past date.
- A system file's modified date/time is set to a future date.
1. First, please check if your system (computer) clock is set to a future or past time.
If so, adjust it to the current time and try running RecurDyn again.
2. If the first step is not an issue, proceed to check the second one.
Check if there are any files on your computer that have a saved time set in the future.
If you find such files, delete them or open and resave them to update the time, then try running RecurDyn again.
For your convenience, you can use the following command in the prompt (command window) to sort files by date:
dir C:\Windows /a /od
(This command shows files sorted by date.)
A user in the community post linked below resolved the similar issue by identifying files saved in the future using this command: https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Publisher-Forum/FlexNet-Licensing-error-88309/m-p/215883
(This is a post from the Flexera community, which is used by FunctionBay. The link may be subject to removal.)
In the worst case, if the files were created unintentionally due to a virus or other issues, you may need to format your PC and reinstall the software.
